Talia Appleton Secures Spot in UCI World Championship

Mansfield Hotel Tour

We are thrilled to announce that a local to Mansfield, Talia Appleton, and a rising star in the world of competitive cycling, has secured her spot in the UCI World Championship in Scotland. Talia’s exceptional performance at the 2023 Mansfield Hotel Tour, powered by ORCODA, earned her the prestigious title of Most Competitive Rider for the Women’s A Grade, Stage 3.

The Mansfield Hotel Tour, held on the 4th and 5th of March 2023, provided a platform for cyclists from various backgrounds to showcase their skills and passion for the sport. What made this year’s event particularly special was the initiative to offer free entry for C-grade women, aimed at encouraging more women to participate in competitive cycling and bridging the gender gap in the sport. The response was overwhelming, and it is heartening to witness the growing enthusiasm among women cyclists.

Talia’s victory serves as a beacon of inspiration for aspiring female cyclists. Her passion, dedication, and perseverance have enabled her to excel in the sport, despite the challenges of balancing rigorous training with her year 12 studies. Her father, Jarrod, proudly acknowledges her commitment and that she has managed to maintain great shape despite her busy schedule.

We’re passionate about supporting the local communities where we operate, and ORCODA is delighted to be associated with the Mansfield Hotel Tour. ORCODA is already looking forward to sponsoring the next edition of the Mansfield Hotel Tour. We believe that events like these not only foster healthy competition but also contribute to the growth of the local community. In 2024, we are aiming to enter a team of ORCODA racers to join the competition.

On behalf of ORCODA, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Talia Appleton for her incredible achievement. We wish her the very best for the UCI World Championship. The future of cycling looks brighter than ever!
