Betta Group powers up Beef Week and the Classic Wallabies

The Classic Wallabies (sponsored by Betta Power Services) successfully outplayed the Beef Barbarians at Beef Week in Rockhampton last Friday. The match was the culmination of a week-long schedule of events and activities for the Classic Wallabies, with both Classic Wallabies and Classic Wallaroos ambassadors involved in coaching clinics and school visits, promoting rugby throughout the region in the days leading up to the match.

The support for the game from both the local community and those who had travelled some distances to attend Beef Week was exceptional, with local Rockhampton company the Betta Group (Electrical Services company providing Power Services and specialising in High Voltage Overhead and Underground Infrastructure services), showing their support through their sponsorship of the Classic Wallabies, as well as holding the electrical contract for the supply of Power Services to Beef Week.

With support from companies like the Betta Group, the Beef Week attendees and local Rockhampton community not only had the opportunity to meet the Classic Wallabies before and after the match, they were also treated to a high standard of rugby featuring some of the games recent superstars such as Digby Ioane, George Smith, Lote Tuqiri and Sean Hardman (also Sales and Marketing Manager for Orcoda and Betta Power Services).

Managing Director of the Betta Group, Geoff Williams is looking forward to continuing his support of the Classic Wallabies as they continue to expand and promote rugby into regional Queensland and the Pacific Islands communities. The Betta Group is passionate with their current work and ongoing growth of providing much needed electrical services and Rugby development into Papua New Guinea and Pacific Island countries.
