Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?

A: Orcoda Limited (ASX: ODA) is a publicly listed Australian technology company that provides smart software solutions for transport logistics and transport infrastructure services.

Our proprietary cloud-based, open ended, end-to-end software technology platforms have true optimisation capabilities, enabling clients to generate real time, fast, accurate and reliable information to make data-led decisions for the movement of people, parcels and goods, the assets they travel in and the infrastructure they travel on.

Our transport infrastructure services via The Betta Group deliver value-add solutions primarily in major road, rail and air infrastructure projects and is an integral part of achieving our smart city vision.

Our clients come from a diverse array of industry sectors and include some of Australia’s largest companies operating in the resources (mining, oil & gas and infrastructure), transport logistics, distribution and healthcare transport sectors.

Orcoda’s intelligent transport management systems are envisioned to empower the connected smart cities of the future.

Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?

A: We recently announced our success in the bumper ski season in the Australian Alps, using our Intelligent Transport Management System. Orcoda Logistics Management System (OLMS) plans and organises the transport bookings and payments for skiers and gives operators access to “big data” that helps optimise operations.

Moving thousands of people around a mountain top every day demands careful planning, precise timing and the optimisation of all available resources. OLMS technology powers the Mount Buller Transportation app and associated operational platform utilised by transport operators. While passengers are able to book, pay for and track their rideshare and shuttle journeys around the mountain using the app, the platform allows operators to plan, coordinate and optimise over 20,000 passenger movements per week in peak times.

The busy ski season was a challenging setting, and even through snow and ice and other unexpected surges, the system came through with flying colours.

In the first quarter of the 2022/23 financial year, our cashflows increased by 114 per cent, and customer receipts climbed by 59 per cent to $6.8 million. It feels as though, like the skiers we’ve been helping to get around Mt Buller this year, we’re about to hit the heights.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?

A: Orcoda Logistics Management System (“OLMS”) and Orcoda Workforce Logistics System (“OWLS”) are Orcoda’s platforms book, organise, connect, and optimise transportation of people, parcels, and goods. The platforms manage asset logistics for large workforces and the transport fleets of our enterprise customers using true optimisation algorithms and artificial intelligence.

Q: What can we expect from your company in next 6 months? What are your plans?

A: Based on the successful implementation of our technology in Mt Buller Ski Resort, Orcoda has leveraged that success to explore other potential projects like other major ski fields, sporting events and anywhere there are large movements of people. We learned a lot from Mt Buller, and we’re ready to put it into practice in other locations and situations.

Our experience from the Sydney and Beijing Olympics contributed to the Mt Buller Project and is leading into new prospects like Australian Rugby World Cup, AusCycling and Brisbane 2032 Olympics. The principles applied for the Mt Buller Project are equally applicable in a broad range of circumstances, from holiday transport to major events, to industry and community transport.

Our expertise in asset utilisation, service provision streamlining, compliance and reporting, is applicable across a huge range of industries. We are finding a growing demand for our technology and planning capabilities in assisted transport in the health and community sectors, including helping transport providers plan for electric vehicle usage.

Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?

A: Our unique booking system that accounts for a massive 3000 attributes and constraints within the transport and logistics operation can be integrated with our customers’ existing software and in-field operations. This creates big data that empowers data-led decisions. Our customers don’t waste time collecting data from each section of the supply chain – it’s all visible on one platform.

Orcoda drives digital transformation and true optimisation for our customers, strengthening their future within the connected smart cities plan for people, transport and transportation infrastructure.
